Pixometry is a Dutch image-processing software company founded in 1997, with roots in the Hasselblad camera family. We serve newspapers, publishers, and retailers in 59 countries, processing hundreds of thousands of images every day.
Pixometry started life as Elpical Software, founded in 1997 through a management buyout from Victor Hasselblad, the storied Swedish camera company whose name is synonymous with precision imaging. That heritage still runs through everything we build: a deep respect for how images are actually made, and where the technical difficulty sits.
Over the next two decades, our on-premise software product, Claro, grew from a specialist tool into the industry standard for automated image correction in newsrooms and print shops. Today Claro handles art-department workflows at outlets ranging from small regional dailies to the world's largest newspapers, including The New York Times.
Pixometry is the next chapter. Same processing pipeline, same engineering team, delivered as a fully-managed cloud service, with a REST API, Adobe InDesign plugin, Enfocus Switch integration and a desktop hot-folder app. Whether you process ten images a month or ten thousand per hour, the setup is the same: a browser, an API key, and your existing workflow.
